The FOUNDATION is...

The Foundation For Education, a charitable organization, is a multi-faceted school enrichment enterprise and advocate of

community-school alliance serving Huron and Perth since 1989.

The Foundation's mission is to develop, support, and encourage the integration of the rich and unique cultural, corporate, industrial, and agricultural resources of Huron and Perth counties into the school system and initiate new educational enrichment programs to benefit students and citizens.

The Foundation has its own Board of Directors of educators and community members from throughout Huron and Perth. The Foundation's Executive Director is Lynda McGregor.

The Foundation's Associate Director is Wes MacVicar.

The FOUNDATION does...

The Foundation, by raising and receiving funds, enhances the learning experience of students in Perth and Huron through a wide variety of activities such as the arts, career awareness, literacy and science and technology. It assists schools with fundraising campaigns and receipts donations to those campaigns. It also continually strives to build extensive business-education partnerships in order to provide a vast array of school-work projects under the PASSPORT TO PROSPERITY initiative.

Avon Maitland District School Board...

The Foundation's major partner is the AVON MAITLAND DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD whose students are served by the Foundation through its cirriculum enrichment programming and fundraising support.

Passport to Prosperity...

The Foundation recieves Business Education Parnership grants from the Ministry of Education's PASSPORT TO PROSPERITY Initiative. With these grants the Foundation supports a series of School-to-Work and Business Education liason projects.

The Foundation delivers PASSPORT to both the Huron-Perth Catholic Distrtict School Board and Avon Maitland District School Board.
